Field Trips

Fields Trips are part of the instructional program.  First-hand observation clarifies ideas, stimulates writing and speech, and makes a variety of areas in the curriculum more meaningful for children.  During the field trip, the teacher supervises the group of students.  Parents are frequently asked to accompany classroom groups and assist in supervising on field trips.

Parents who would like to assist on field trips are required to read the Volunteer Handbook and to complete and return the Volunteer Liability Wavier Form and the Chaperone Form at least two days before the trip is taken. Chaperone Forms must be filled out for each field trip.
